Samsung Appliance Repair

Samsung builds more connected features into a kitchen than almost anyone, and that shapes the service call: a meaningful share of Samsung faults are not mechanical at all.

A refrigerator that will not respond, a range that ignores the app, a washer stuck mid-cycle — these can be firmware or network states rather than failed parts. Ruling that out first is free and frequently ends the call.

Samsung also owns Dacor, so the premium and mass-market lines increasingly share engineering and parts channels.

The Samsung line we service

French-door refrigerators

Including Family Hub and FlexZone models. Ice maker faults are the single most common Samsung refrigeration call by a wide margin.

refrigerator repair ›

Front-load and top-load washers

Including FlexWash. Drain pump blockages, door boot seal wear and unbalanced-load faults lead the calls.

washer repair ›

Dryers, gas and electric

No heat, long cycles and thermal fuse failures — with a blocked vent behind most of them.

dryer repair ›

Slide-in ranges and cooktops

Gas, electric and induction, several with Air Fry cavities. Ignition and element faults dominate.

range and stove repair ›

Wall ovens and microwaves

Door latch failures and control faults; over-the-range microwaves add door switch wear.

Dishwashers

Drainage faults, wash-arm blockages and door latch wear.

Try a power cycle before booking a connected appliance

On heavily connected models, a firmware or network state can present exactly like a hardware fault — unresponsive panels, cycles that will not start, features that vanish. Pulling power for a few minutes costs nothing and resolves a real share of these calls.

The French-door ice maker is the brand's most-reported problem area

Freezing, poor production and jamming on French-door models generate more Samsung service calls than anything else. It is a known pattern, it is serviceable, and it does not mean the refrigerator is failing.

A washer that will not spin is often load balance, not the motor

Front-load machines abort the spin when the drum is unbalanced, which reads as a failure. Redistributing the load and running spin alone distinguishes a control problem from a mechanical one in a couple of minutes.

Deciding whether a Samsung unit is still worth fixing? Our repair-or-replace guide names the one repair that ends each appliance — and on a built-in that line sits much further out.

Samsung repair — frequently asked questions

My Samsung ice maker keeps freezing up.

It is the most-reported Samsung refrigeration issue, particularly on French-door models. It is serviceable and does not indicate a failing refrigerator.

The control panel is unresponsive.

On connected models, try disconnecting power for a few minutes first. Firmware and network states mimic hardware faults, and this resolves a meaningful share of them.

Does Samsung own Dacor?

Yes. Newer Dacor units share engineering and parts channels with Samsung, which helps availability on both.

Related brands

Samsung usually shares a kitchen with these, and we service them too: Dacor.
